A free half-day Seminar on “Hadoop and Big Data Analytics“ was organized on 20 September 2015 by Yotta Educational And Research Institute. The presentation involved all aspect of Big Data and its related tool Hadoop.
The amount of data in the world has exploded during the last decade. This has
lead to setting where the
traditional methods and tools are not anymore suitable for capturing,
curating, managing, and processing data
whose volume exceeds terabytes.
Therefore, new approaches has been developed to cope
with big data.
One of the most prominent framework for processing big data is
Apache Hadoop, which
is developed for distributed processing of large data sets across
clusters of computers.
A fairly in-depth look at Apache Hadoop and related technologies and also some of the other commercial platforms, architecture
and services available out there - through useful case studies from a
variety of industry sectors helped student to gain a good understanding of how to tackle the ever-increasing wave of Data.
